our team

From the vision of just one man, Mr G B Johnstone, Joloda Hydraroll has grown into a multi-national enterprise employing 235 (145 from its headquarters in Liverpool, 58 in its production facility in Anglesey, 19 in Europe, 11 in America and an additional 2 globally). Whilst the product and service offerings have grown and expanded, the company ethos remains the same: to lighten the load with exceptional products and first-class service.

There have been many achievements in the company’s 60-year history, from a British Motor Vehicle Industry Design Award in 1977 for its skate and track system through to an acquisition trailer loading company, Hydraroll to the formation of Joloda BV and subsequently, as a result of phenomenal growth in the US, Joloda LLC.

Cup

a proud workforce

More than this though, Joloda Hydraroll is fiercely proud of its workforce who are the driving factor behind its success. Every member of the team is proud to be a little bit obsessed with solving their customers' problems whilst delivering a great experience, which is why so many of their clients return to them time after time as their own operations expand. Joloda Hydraroll maintains a comprehensive apprenticeship programme to support its ambitions to grow talent internally and even now still employs one of its first apprentices from the Anglesey (UK) site who joined the company in 1982!

Today, Joloda Hydraroll is a force to be reckoned with. It offers a diverse and industry-leading range of manual loading systems and automated loading systems as well as dedicated design and installation services to those industries where the movement of goods needs to be efficient, repeatable and most importantly, safe.

Message

a message from our CEO

Headed up by CEO Michele Dematteis, who joined the company in 2017, Joloda Hydraroll continues to have ambitious growth in its sights with expansion into new sectors and territories. Speaking of the legacy, Joloda Hydraroll has to look back on whilst setting his sights firmly on the future, Michele added, “For any business today to last 60 years is a real achievement. To have the global footprint we have secured, and the niche knowledge and expertise to be a world leader in our field is a testament to the quality of people, training and dedication that is fundamental to the company’s culture. I’m excited for what the future holds because no one lightens the load the way we do.”

To mark the significance of 60-years in operation, Joloda Hydraroll has a whole 12-months of activities planes to celebrate and mark this milestone. Alongside preparations for a global conference to bring the entire team together and showcase the manufacturing capability of the new Liverpool, UK-based manufacturing facility, there are a number of local events happening in the coming months. This includes efforts to raise money for a number of charities identified by Joloda Hydraroll’s workforce through bake sales and sponsored events. The company will also be using social media to share throw-back images from the last 60-years and capture stories from those who have seen the company transform over the years.

Just as it did in 1962, the business is focused on saving companies time and money with its market-leading industry solutions as the partner of choice. No problem is too great and no brief too complex, which is why Joloda Hydraroll has such a rich history to look back on and such an exciting future to look forward to.
